Each
sampler flat will contain eight plants each of six
varieties from the list of of old-fashioned annual flowers
below, for a total of 48 plants per flat. |

Statice Fortress Mix is one of the most
rewarding plants that a gardener ca grow for winter
drying. Cut the stems as flowers open, bind into
bunches, and hang to dry in a cool, dark room. |

Aster Matsumoto Mix has individually
lovely flowers that are a marvel. Asters are great
cut flowers and extremely showy in the garden, |

Gaillardia Sundance Bicolor loves a
sunny place in the border or in a patio pot. Kids
love its' colorful flowers. |

Gazania Talent Mix has exceptionally
brilliant flowers, with color compbinations in the
flowers that are seldom seen. Flowers don't open
unless the temperature is about 70 degrees so plant in a
nice hot spot - no shade for this one, please. |

Mimulus Calypso Mix loves the cool early
season, and might be in the first april samplers.
If it gets leggy, pinch it back a bit to keep the plant
tidy. The spotted flowers of mimulus are truly
exceptional. |

Zinnia State Fair Mix is a summer
classic. Plant in full sun to keep stems strong,
and cut lots of the flowers for bouquets. This
plant is a real performer! |

Rudbeckia Indian Summer is beautiful in
the border, and will provide good cut flowers for the
table as well. |
