Buttercrunch lettuce is a classic variety, with beautifully bright green leaves. It has a sweet, mild flavor, and if you leave at least a couple of inches of plant when you harvest it, it'll come back beautifully. |

'Rhubarb' chard has deep green leavens on ruby red stems - worth growing for the color alone. The raw young leaves make a nutritious and tasty addition to salads, and the older leaves can be cooked in a variety of ways. I like to saute them with garlic, olive oil, and a splash of Balsamic vinegar. |

Green Leaf Lettuce Mix - this is our own blend of green leaf lettuces. Some will have will be romaine, some will have oak-shaped leaves, and we'll also include some heirloom deer-tongue lettuce. As with the buttercrunch, if you leave at least 2 inches of plant when you cut it, then fertilize and water deeply, it should come back vigorously. |
