Cutting Garden Perennial Sampler for Spring 2012

Each sampler flat will contain two plants each of 8 of the 9 varieties of long-stemmed perennials below, for a total of 16 plants per flat. A half flat contains one of each of 8 of the 9 varieties, for a total of eight plants.

	Aster 'Beauty Rose' is a compact, no-fuss, plant that produces unusual, dainty rose daisies from summer to fall. Lovely in arrangements.		Geum 'Red Dragon' produces sprays of deep red blossoms that make excellent, unusual cuts. Deadhead often for a longer display. Hardy and evergreen!
	Crocosmia 'Lucifer' won the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit, and with good reason. It's easy to grow and gorgeous - and hummingbirds love it too!		Campanula 'Perscifolia White Bell' latifolia bears enchanting pure white bells on long stalks in summer. Grows well in shade, and self seeds! Ideal for a rustic cottage garden effect.
	Dianthus 'Heritage Crimson' bears saturated red petals on tall stalks. Strong straight stems produce spike after spike of flower all through the season.		Statice 'Blue Spangle' grows clouds of tiny vibrant blue flower. This exceptional cut flowers dries well or can be used in fresh arrangements.
	Liatris 'Kobold' is an outstanding plant - its architectural, colorful spikes add drama to garden or bouquet, and it's easy to grow.		Centranthus 'Pretty Betsy' was selected for all season blooming and vibrant flowers. Once the flowres fade, but them back again and again for a constant mass of color.

In the event that we need to make a substitution for one of the above varieties, we will send a plant of equal or greater value that is also a hardy perennial suitable for cut flower use.
