Shade-Loving Perennial Sampler for Spring 2012

Each sampler flat will contain two plants each of eight varieties of the shade perennials below, for a total of sixteen plants per flat. A half flat contains one of each, for a total of eight plants.

	Digitalis 'Bondana Mix' responds well to trimming and will bloom throughout the season. This variety comes in shades of rose, red, and white - very pretty!		Fuchsia 'June Bride' makes a tall, hardy shrub that covers itself with pretty pink flowers in late spring and summer. Tolerates summer heat with adequate moisture.
	? Bergenia 'Winterglut' is a gorgeous plant that turns a rich red during cold winters and delights us with its unique, burgundy stemmed flowers in early spring.		? Phygelius 'Salmon Leap' produces vibrant coral flowers on airy panicles from early summer to fall. It's a showy, reliable plant that attracts hummingbirds and bees.
	? Lamium 'White Nancy' is one of the prettiest groundcovers for shade. Pure white flowers appear in on silvery evergreen foliage in spring and sporadically through fall.		Polemonium 'Bambino Blue' is a sturdy dwarf variety that produces masses of rich blue flowers with bright yellow stamens and a white eye for contrast. Attracts beneficial insects.
	Heuchera 'Purple Palace' produces dense spikes of deep scarlet on handsome dark green foliage. Its compact habit makes it well suited to containers.		Aquilegia 'Leprechaun Gold' is a dwarf species with gorgeous double blooms. The vibrant blue flowers delightful and contrast beautifully with its golden foliage.
	Campanula glomerata 'Acaulis' is an easy-to-grow favorite with lovely clusters of purple bells and long flowering season. Cut spent blossoms to ensure re blooming.

In the event that we need to make a substitution for one of the above varieties, we will send a plant of equal or greater value that is also a hardy, shade-loving perennial.
